{"id":27,"date":"2026-07-07T16:07:02","date_gmt":"2026-07-07T20:07:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/library.udel.edu\/accessibility\/?page_id=27"},"modified":"2026-08-25T10:37:30","modified_gmt":"2026-08-25T14:37:30","slug":"library-website-features","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/library.udel.edu\/accessibility\/services\/library-website-features\/","title":{"rendered":"Library Website Features"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>WCAG Accessibility Compliance<\/h2>\n<p>The Library, Museums and Press website complies with WC3 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.w3.org\/WAI\/standards-guidelines\/wcag\/\">Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)<\/a> and is regularly reviewed to ensure accessibility via screen readers, by those with visual impairments, and by those with physical conditions which require keyboard usage.<\/p>\n<h2>View Available Seats<\/h2>\n<p>The Library, Museums and Press website includes a feature where patrons can <a href=\"https:\/\/library.udel.edu\/ourspaces\/available-spaces\/\">view available seats<\/a> within Morris Library to choose a place to gather or study which provides support for those who require a quiet space, a space with natural light, or a space with fewer other patrons.<\/p>\n<h2>Readability Widget<\/h2>\n<p>The Readability Widget installed on the University of Delaware Library, Museums and Press website helps balance competing accessibility needs by offering an extra set of optional accommodations. It&#8217;s a way to provide readability improvements that some users, but not every user, will find useful. For instance, some users find black text on a white background (a common combination) to be the most readable, whereas others would prefer text against a warm-colored background (a feature in the widget).
