The World Newspaper Archive is a collection of historic newspapers from Africa, Latin America, South Asia, and United States. It represents a collaborative effort of Center for Research Libraries member institutions and Readex, a division of NewsBank, to preserve and provide persistent access to historical newspapers from around the globe. The University of Delaware Library is a charter participant in this project. Further information is available at the Center for Research Libraries site.
The World Newspaper Archive consists of four components:
- America’s Historical Newspapers
- African Newspapers
- Latin American Newspapers, Series 1
- South Asian Newspapers
This collection can also be searched on Readex AllSearch, an integrated platform that combines Readex’s primary sources into a single cross-searchable interface.
