The Education Resource Center is a curriculum resource center servicing education students in all colleges at the University of Delaware and educators throughout the area.
The Curriculum Collection covers all subject areas including Mathematics, Social Studies, Language Arts, Science, Health and Physical Education, Early Childhood, Foreign Languages (French, German, Spanish, Latin, Italian), and ESL. We strive to include the textbooks or the equivalent that are currently used in Delaware schools.
Psychological Assessment Materials
The ERC maintains an extensive range of psychological assessment materials in support of academic programs. Professional guidelines set forth by APA and assessment publishers limit the use of and access to materials to qualified individuals. To ensure compliance with these requirements, all borrowers must familiarize themselves with the ERC Test Kit Collection Policy.
Children and Young Adult Books
The School Library collection has over 25,000 Children’s and Young Adult trade books. This includes many Award winners and highly reviewed books as well as ebooks, audiobooks, and videos.
Non-book materials to enhance lesson plans are available, such as maps and globes, puppets, videos, games, math manipulatives, science kits, big books and much more.
An assortment of Classroom Technology is available, including laptops, SWIVLs, a SMARTBoard, iPads, video equipment and assistive technology.
Laminating, Transparencies, and Poster Making
The ERC provides onsite computing center with printing, scanning and photocopying. A laminator and a poster maker are available for a fee.
