About this Event
Do you work or volunteer at a nonprofit agency? If so, you know how important and challenging it is to identify new funding sources for your organization.
During this workshop, discover how to use specialized databases from the Library, Museums and Press to locate funding resources. Using databases like Foundation Directory Online and Pivot, you will be able to search for funding sources, such as grants from private foundations, corporations and public charities.
You will also explore what criteria you should consider when identifying potential funders, as well as strategies for searching the databases and locating additional grants information on the internet.
Tom Melvin, librarian, and Alison Wessel, social sciences librarian, will lead the workshop.
This workshop is open to the public. Those who work for or volunteer at a nonprofit agency are particularly encouraged to attend. Registration is required as seating is limited.
