{"id":87,"date":"2015-06-19T15:34:00","date_gmt":"2015-06-19T19:34:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev.lib.udel.edu\/filmandvideo\/?page_id=87"},"modified":"2025-11-03T17:26:05","modified_gmt":"2025-11-03T17:26:05","slug":"viewing-room-research-room","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/library.udel.edu\/filmandvideo\/viewing-room-research-room\/","title":{"rendered":"Our Spaces"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><a id=\"Viewing Room\"><\/a>Viewing Room &amp; Equipment<\/h2>\n<p>The Film &amp; Video Collection in the Morris Library is equipped with a 40-seat viewing room which may be scheduled for use by faculty and teaching assistants in giving audiovisual presentations to University of Delaware classes on a first-come basis <a href=\"\/hours\/?library_loc=6\">when the Help Center is open<\/a>. The Viewing Room is available for instructional use only by classes using film, video, and other media. It is not available for scheduling as a substitute for a regularly-scheduled classroom or as a meeting room for clubs or other campus groups. To schedule the Viewing Room, please use the <a href=\"https:\/\/library.udel.edu\/filmandvideo\/circulation-scheduling-policies\/mediascheduling\/\">Media Scheduling Web Form<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Viewing Room has the capability to show videos in VHS (NTSC and PAL) and DVD (multi-region, standard definition, and Blu-ray). Projection equipment includes a rear-screen high-definition multimedia projector with Dolby surround sound. A computer with a connection to the multimedia projector is available for use in accessing the Internet. If projection capabilities for a personal laptop are required, please notify staff prior to the screening and arrange a time to test compatibility.<\/p>\n<p><em>Please Note:<\/em> A faculty member or a designated teaching assistant must be present to conduct or monitor classes during screenings in the Viewing Room.<\/p>\n<p>The Viewing Room should be vacated at least fifteen minutes prior to the <a href=\"\/hours\/?library_loc=6\">closing time<\/a> of the Help Center.<\/p>\n<h2>Audiovisual and Gaming Carrels<\/h2>\n<p>Viewing, listening, and gaming equipment for all materials in the Film &amp; Video Collection are available in 23 carrels, designed for both individual and group use.
