Teaching Research Skills

Instructional services for:

Subject Specific Courses

Librarians support undergraduate and graduate students by partnering with faculty to offer lessons that increase students’ ability to think critically about information sources and their use. We also help connect students to key resources within the collections through orientations, tours,  and workshops.

First Year Writing Courses

The Library partners with English 110 instructors to provide instructional support as students develop research skills and mindsets for college-level inquiry. Our collaborative approach focuses on engaging, hands-on activities that directly support research assignments. Learn more about how you can integrate library instruction into your course.

Courses Surrounding Film & Video

Today’s students are navigating an increasingly complex media landscape — resources from the Library’s Film & Video Collection can be incorporated into instruction, providing opportunities to evaluate and learn from a collection of media material available in physical and eVideo formats.
