This house is still standing today and remains a visible reminder of the institution\u2019s legacy.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Another featured work is\u00a0 <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/digitalcollections.udel.edu\/Documents\/Detail\/the-negro-in-delaware-past-and-present\/261683\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Negro in Delaware: Past and Present<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> by Pauline A. Young. Young traces the history of Black education in the state, including the School Code Fight, school segregation and the founding of Delaware State College, now Delaware State University. The publication also documents the history of the Dover Colored School, later known as Booker T. Washington Elementary to honor its historical roots.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/digitalcollections.udel.edu\/Documents\/Detail\/the-new-bright-future-for-delaware-negroes\/261677\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The New Bright Future for Delaware Negroes<\/span><\/i><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is another pamphlet that explores the implementation of the new School Code and how it created a more equitable
