Abstract:This collection consists of oral history interviews with faculty from the University of Delaware Department of Women and Gender Studies, conducted as part of the 2011 "Women at the Center"[...] project. The interviews, mainly conducted by Professor Marie Laberge of the Women and Gender Studies Department, discuss various topics relating to the creation and development of the Women's Studies program at the University of Delaware as well as the personal experiences of each interviewee. The collection also features interviews with students from the 2012 graduating class of Women's Studies who were in Professor Laberge's Spring 2012 semester Senior Capstone class and additional interviews conducted by Professor Laberge in 2014. Each interview is accompanied by a tape log, which summarizes the topics discussed by the participants.

Democrat Ted Kaufman was appointed by Governor Ruth Ann[...] Minner to fill the Senate vacancy caused by the resignation of newly elected Vice President Joseph R. Biden, Jr.; Senator Ted Kaufman did not seek election to the office in a special election for the seat in November 2010. The bulk of the Ted Kaufman papers documents the 22 months he spent in the United States Senate with additional materials related to his earlier political career and post-Senate activities.

Abstract:Voices of 1968 is an oral history collection focused on Delawareans to capture local stories of that pivotal year in American history. Interviews were conducted by Library staff, partners in[...] the Wilmington Archive Project, and other project volunteers. The topics covered in the interviews include campus politics and student activism in Delaware (particularly through the Students for Democratic Society chapter at the University of Delaware campus), reactions to Martin Luther King, Jr.'s assassination, the National Guard occupation of Wilmington, and political and social actions related to civil rights, the 1968 presidential campaign, resistance to America's involvement in Vietnam, and other aspects of life in Delaware.

The John Furnival papers encompass nearly fifty years of the artist’s personal and professional activity and document his involvement with the International Concrete Poetry and Mail Art movements through correspondence, publications, broadsides, and posters.

By the late 1930s, his reputation was well established by the success of his novels The Sun[...] Also Rises (1926) and A Farewell to Arms (1929), and his non-fiction works Death in the Afternoon (1932) and Green Hills of Africa (1935). He was awarded the Nobel Prize for literature in 1954. The Ernest Hemingway Collection consists of selected periodicals containing contributions by Ernest Hemingway or mention of Hemingway or his work, in addition to lobby cards, film posters, and other theatrical and film ephemera relating to the stage or screen versions of Hemingway's work. Other miscellaneous or ephemeral materials relating to Hemingway are also included. Periodic additions to the collection are planned.
