Abstract: Founding Father of the United States and politician John Dickinson along with Delegate to the Continental Congress and signer of the Declaration of Independence Thomas McKean wrote to President of Delaware Caesar Rodney concerning the capture of sixty-four prisoners aboard the British sloop-of-war, Harlem, and requesting the appointment of a sufficient guard to take them into custody in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on July 22, 1779.
