Irish playwright, drama critic, and author St. John Greer Ervine (1883-1971) is best known for his plays, some of which were staged at the Abbey Theatre. He also managed the Abbey Theatre for a brief period.

This small collection contains three typed letters signed from St. John Greer Ervine to the editor of the Week-End Review, Gerald Barry, between 1930-1932. Included in the June 6, 1930, letter is an article written by Ervine, "Brows High and Low" that concerns Aldous Huxley's use of certain words. It bears autograph corrections and is signed by Ervine.
