This collection was begun in 2016 in an attempt to documents websites and social media related to authors, playwrights, and other literary figures and organizations which complement and enrich existing literary collections held in Special Collections. The websites crawled are a curated sample, representative of the collecting policies at the University of Delaware Library to document American literature, Irish literature, and English-language theatre. The collection consists of twenty-three websites, organized into three series:
The first series, American literature, include websites and social media sites for various American authors, poets, dramatists, journalists and literary publications.
The second series, Irish literature, include websites for various Irish authors, poets, dramatists and literary publications. The third series, Theater, includes websites and social media sites for playwrights, screenwriters and local theaters.
