Abstract: |
Beverly Axelrod was a San Francisco-based lawyer heavily involved in civil rights and social justice movements and organizations
in the 1950s and 1960s, both as an attorney and as an activist. Her papers consist of correspondence, legal files, organization
documentation, activist literature, and other material relating to her life and career. A large portion of the collection
documents Axelrod's relationship with writer and activist Eldridge Cleaver.
