||The British poet Elizabeth Jennings, born on July 18, 1926, in Boston, Lincolnshire, has published more than 20 books of poetry
since the 1950s. She constructed short, meditative lyrics that are known for their simplicity, control, and range of feeling.
This small collection of seven poetry manuscripts, written by Elizabeth Jennings, spans the dates 1957-1966. The autograph
poems bear her revisions and reflect her style of composition. Two of the poems are labeled by Jennings as In A Sense of the World, a book of Jennings's poetry published in 1958.
