Scheduling is subject to availability of a classroom and of the librarian who will teach your class.<\/li>\n<li>Library instruction is proven to be most effective when it is connected to a concrete assignment or research task. When requesting a library instruction session, please include any information regarding the class&#8217;s current research tasks. This will help librarians to provide relevant, course-connected instruction for your students and design class activities that will help students meet the assignment goals.<\/li>\n<li>Please plan to accompany your class to the library instruction session and remain with your class for the entirety of the library instruction session.<\/li>\n<li>Please do not assume that the class has been scheduled until you receive a confirmation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Guidelines for visiting (off campus) groups<\/h2>\n<p>The Library welcomes school group visits. These visits are most useful to students in grades 9-12 who need resources at the UD Library to complete assignments. Additionally, all public K-12 schools in Delaware have access to online databases, magazines and encyclopedias through the <a href=\"http:\/\/udlibsearch.lib.udel.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">UD Lib\/SEARCH program<\/a>, managed by the University of Delaware Library.<\/p>\n<p>For information on planning a visit to campus, including parking information, please see <a href=\"https:\/\/library.udel.edu\/instruction\/guidelines\/school-groups\/\">Resources for School Groups Visiting the Library.<\/a><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"sectiontitle\" style=\"text-align: left;\" align=\"center\">Policy on School Groups Visiting the University of Delaware Library<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>It is the responsibility of the adults accompanying the class to monitor their students&#8217; use of Library electronic resources, including the Internet.<\/li>\n<li>The Library requests that school group visits be scheduled between 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. when possible, to avoid overcrowding at Library computers.<\/li>\n<li>Groups visiting the Library should be no larger than 40 students.<\/li>\n<li>School group visits to the Library should be scheduled at least one week in advance.
