Through two workshops, they will learn about the process of planning a digital storytelling project, best practices for creating and gathering materials, and how to compile the digital story using video editing software to tell a complete and compelling story. Participants will then apply what they learned in the workshops as they create their own digital story via a 3-5 minute video.<\/p>\n<h2>Requirements<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Attend Digital Storytelling with Video: Getting Started workshop<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Addend on of the following two workshops:\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Digital Storytelling with Video: Intro to Adobe Premiere Pro<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Digital Storytelling with Video: Intro into iMovie<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Complete the self-paced canvas quiz<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Complete a storyboard and final video project<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Total Time commitment<\/h2>\n<p>Approximately 12 hours total<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Approximately 3 hours of synchronous in-person instruction<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Approximately 8 -10 hours of self-paced work and project creation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Learning Objectives<\/h2>\n<p>Participants acquire the following key competencies:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Identifying the key elements and strategies of digital storytelling.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Planning a digital storytelling video project by identifying the purpose, audience and content needs, writing a script, and creating a storyboard.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Producing a digital storytelling project using a variety of media and technology<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Registration<\/h2>\n<p>The Digital Storytelling with Video badge will not be offered in fall 2025.
