About this event

Have you ever wondered about the treasures within the University of Delaware’s Special Collections and Museums or been curious about how to incorporate our unique and rare collection materials into your classes? Are you already familiar with Special Collections and Museums, but want to meet new staff and brainstorm fresh ideas for using primary sources? If so, join us for a special Teaching and Learning Meet and Greet featuring fun activities and light refreshments!

Faculty, graduate students and staff are warmly invited to drop by the new Special Collections Reading Room (located on the 2nd floor of Morris Library) anytime from 3-5:00 p.m. to learn how we can support your teaching, learning and research. Meet new members of the Special Collections and Museums staff, explore a pop-up display and scavenger hunt and get creative at a zine-making station. You also can enter a raffle to win private, behind-the-scenes experiences in our Special Collections and Museum spaces for you and your students.

Additionally, the Museum galleries (Old College Gallery, Mechanical Hall Gallery and the Mineralogical Museum in Penny Hall) will remain open until 5:00 p.m. for visitors who want to stop by after attending the event in the Special Collections Reading Room.

This in-person event is free and open to the campus community. Light refreshments will be provided. Registration is encouraged as space is limited.
