About this event

Student advocacy is central to every campus. Come learn with Young Democratic Socialists of America (YDSA) about how immigration issues are being supported on campus and how to advocate as a student. YDSA will be covering how to do student advocacy on campus and how to make the campus a safer place through Rapid Response networks.

This workshop will cover basic Know Your Rights information, as well as the University of Delaware’s current guidelines on how to engage with federal law enforcement. Additionally, librarians Kaitlyn Tanis and Jeanne Kambara will share how to find current court cases and legislation in library databases like Nexis Uni, Westlaw and more; plus coverage of campus resources available for students affected by immigration. This workshop is for information sharing purposes only; the University does not endorse or take responsibility for the viewpoints expressed. The University cannot verify the accuracy, completeness or timeliness of the information provided.
