Abstract:The Edgar Rice Burroughs comic book collection is an artificial collection of comic books inspired by the writings of Edgar Rice Burroughs, as published by Dell Publishing Co., Marvel Comics[...] Group, DC Comics, Western Publishing Company (Gold Key Comics), and others from 1953 to 1977. The character Tarzan is the primary focus of these comic books; a minority of the comics expand upon Burroughs's series of Mars novels. As examples of other Burroughs-inspired items, the collection also includes two records and a set of trading cards.

Abstract:A typed and signed letter from English writer and anthologies editor Brian W. Aldiss to Mrs. Luan Ranzetta expressing gratitude for having sent him two of her science-fiction novels. Aldiss[...] confirms Ranzetta's suspicion that she might be the only female science-fiction writer in Britain, while acknowledging Hilary Bailey's first story appeared in one of Britain's science-fiction magazines recently. He also mentions America's sole female science-fiction writer at the time Judy Merril, praising her work, Shadow on the Hearth, though stating that "[s]he has not done anything to rival it since."
