Abstract:The Irish poet Rudolph Patrick Holzapfel was born in Paris, France, on December 11, 1938. Holzapfel has published with the Irish authors Brendan Kennelly, Oliver Snoddy, and John Farrell, and[...] his work has been anthologized in the Penguin Book of Irish Verse and Modern Irish Poets. The Rudi Holzapfel poetry manuscripts consist of 32 worksheets containing approximately 37 poems. The worksheets have many alterations and cancellations and a number are written on the back of a variety of documents, including school attendance lists or mimeograph worksheets. These give the impression of having been drafted while he taught English and literature in Germany.

Abstract:Richard Hoffman, the Brooklyn-based theater collector and book dealer, built a number of literary collections around American playwrights over a period of many years. [...] Richard Hoffman’s interest in collecting first editions led to his career as an antiquarian book dealer. Award-winning American film writer and director Woody Allen has starred in many of the films he has written. By age nineteen, he was writing scripts for television shows. He was also writing plays and short stories, several of which appeared in The New Yorker. In 1960 he launched a career as a stand-up comedian and began writing for television’s Candid Camera. The production of Annie Hall (1977) marked the beginning a period of critically acclaimed and financially successful films for Allen. The Richard Hoffman Woody Allen Collection spans the dates 1966-1995 and comprises 1.3 linear ft. of autograph, printed, and audio material. The collection reflects Richard Hoffman’s interest in the work of American playwright and film maker Woody Allen. Series include: I. The Edward Field Papers consist of twenty-one linear feet of Field's personal and literary papers which document his life and writing career from 1943-1994. The papers contain correspondence, photographs and negatives, poems, prose, book reviews, clippings, posters, programs, financial papers, address books, calendars, interviews, books, magazines and journals, flyers, plays, and ephemera. Although the majority of the collection records Field's work as a poet, his papers document all aspects of Field's writing, including his work as an editor, essayist, translator, narrator, collaborator on popular novels, and as a journal keeper.
