Holzapfel has published with the Irish authors Brendan Kennelly, Oliver Snoddy, and John Farrell, and[...] his work has been anthologized in the Penguin Book of Irish Verse and Modern Irish Poets. The Rudi Holzapfel poetry manuscripts consist of 32 worksheets containing approximately 37 poems. The worksheets have many alterations and cancellations and a number are written on the back of a variety of documents, including school attendance lists or mimeograph worksheets. These give the impression of having been drafted while he taught English and literature in Germany.

Abstract:Renowned football rules authority and former University of Delaware coach and administrator, David Moir Nelson was born April 29, 1920, in Detroit, Michigan. During Nelson's forty years at the University[...] of Delaware, the athletic program was strengthened and expanded (particularly the women's athletic program) and a 75-acre intercollegiate athletics complex was created. Above all else, Nelson was a nationally recognized expert on intercollegiate football rules, serving on the National Collegiate Athletic Association Football Rules Committee for 35 years and as the committee's Secretary-Editor from 1962 until his death in 1991. His term as Secretary-Editor was the longest tenure in Rules Committee history. The David M. Nelson papers extend over 42 linear feet of material and are composed of correspondence, scrapbooks, photographs, clippings, minutes, manuals, programs, magazines, books, media guides, annual reports, articles, dockets, posters, pamphlets, a diary, motion pictures, video cassettes, drafts (preliminary versions), speeches, surveys, diagrams, certificates, interviews, bulletins, notes, newsletters, proceedings, resumes, and a logbook. These papers document Nelson's high school and collegiate experience, his service in the U.S. Naval Air Corps during World War II, his coaching and administrative career, and his extensive service to the National Collegiate Athletic Association and related organizations.

American poet and editor Edward Field was born in Brooklyn on June 7, 1924. Besides becoming an accomplished poet, Field has also edited anthologies of poetry and produced the narration for the documentary film To Be Alive, which won an Academy Award in 1965. Another of his literary endeavors has been to champion his friend Alfred Chester's works for reprint and to revive Chester's literary reputation. The Edward Field Alfred Chester Archives consists of four linear feet of correspondence, printed material, photos, paintings, and realia related to American author Alfred Chester collected by Field. The collection is divided into four series: correspondence, biographical material, works by Chester, and literary revival by Edward Field.

Abstract:American poet Cid (Sidney) Corman was born in Boston, Massachusetts, on June 29, 1924. In 1951, Corman founded and edited the literary quarterly Origin, which [...] published the work of new or little-known authors. Corman has published over seventy volumes of poetry and has also translated several French and Japanese poems, including work by Bashõ, Kusano Shimpei, and Francis Ponge. The eight linear feet of material in the collection consists of Corman’s daily journals, seventy-nine volumes extensively interleaved with news clippings, letters, poems, photographs, and other ephemera. The collection also includes two small volumes of Corman’s poems, translated into Portuguese by Stella Leonardos in 1964. Nearly all of Corman’s entries record the time he woke, the weather, his daily tasks and activities, and personal affairs. The content of the early journals reflects Corman’s work as a poet, translator, and the editor of Origin. In the middle- to late-1950s Corman was traveling, working, and living in Europe before finally settling in Japan, and the dominant themes of this period include observations on literature, art, and the foreign cultures that he encountered. The entries during this period are the most creative and spontaneous of the collection. Also included in the collection are a few typescript and manuscript notes, poems, and drafts of letters, unsent letters, gallery and concert programs, travel documents, receipts, and other ephemera.
