About

The Student Multimedia Design Center is designed to meet the current and future needs of the increasing number of classes which involve the creation of multimedia projects.

The Center has over 70 computers in a variety of flexible spaces, including two hands-on multimedia instruction rooms, three video editing studios, a one-button studio, a graphic arts studio, and a sound studio. Over 200 equipment kits, such as video cameras, light kits, digital voice recorders, and GoPros, are loaned from the service desk, which is staffed 64 hours a week. Librarians work with instructors across the disciplines to incorporate multimedia into their curriculum and teach students how to use the tools available in the Center as part of a Multimedia Literacy Program. In addition, hands-on workshops are taught each semester that are open to the whole UD community.
