How to search for Course Reserve material
From the Library Homepage, select Course Reserves from the dropdown menu next to the search bar. If you are already in the catalog, or Delcat, click through to Advanced Search and select Course Reserves under Search Criteria.
Use course ID, course title, subject or even your instructor’s name as search terms to find material that has been placed on reserve for your courses.
Borrowing Course Reserve material
Current UD students may check out Course Reserve material at the Help Center on the first floor of the Morris Library using their valid UDID. Students may check out up to two items from Course Reserves at one time. An email receipt will be sent with the due date for each item.
All course reserve material must be returned to the Help Center.
In order to renew items, users need to bring the materials and valid UDID in person to the Help Center service desk. Certain items cannot be renewed because they are in very high demand; please check with Help Center staff to confirm the renewal status of specific items.
Materials with a two hour loan period need to be used in the Morris Library and may not be taken beyond the exit turnstiles.
Overdue material
Reserve material is in high demand because it enables students to meet course requirements.
Users will be billed for replacement costs and processing fees if a Reserve item is not returned within 15 days of its due date. If a billed item is returned undamaged, the replacement fee is waived. Processing fees are not waived. Borrowers will be billed for damaged library materials. More information is available on the Borrowing Policies web page.
