Library instruction is available for classes, and individual appointments can be made with librarians who specialize in research for a particular subject area. In addition, library workshops are offered throughout the year.
Research assistance is available to University of Delaware faculty, staff, and students and also to others in the community at the Reference service desk, located near the entrance of the Morris Library or online via chat, text-messaging, and email. The reference collection consists of online and print materials (such as dictionaries , encyclopedias, bibliographies, maps, and directories) that provide information on many subjects and that can be used to start or supplement research. A growing collection of online reference material can be accessed in the library by all users and off campus by UD faculty, staff, and students.
All Reference materials are listed in DELCAT Discovery and can be identified by limiting the “Libraries to search” to University of Delaware. Print Reference materials are non-circulating and should be used in the Reference Room. The Career Collection in the Reference Room contains books about careers and the job search, including interviewing, cover letters and resumes.
