University of Delaware students will have access to extended hours during reading day and finals, May 16 – 21, 2025.
Extended Hours at Morris Library
Morris Library’s extended hours:
- Friday, May 16, Reading Day, 8 a.m. – 10 p.m.
- Saturday, May 17, Finals, 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.
- Sunday, May 18, Finals, 10 a.m. – 1 a.m.
- Monday, May 19, Finals, 8 a.m. – 1 a.m.
- Tuesday, May 20, Finals, 8 a.m. – 1 a.m.
- Wednesday, May 21, Finals, 8 a.m. – 7 p.m.
Even when the library is closed, students have options to study in the building.
Along with the Morris Library Commons, which houses The Nest eatery and is open 24/7 year-round, the Class of 1941 Lecture Room in Morris Library will be open to students when the library is closed. The Class of 1941 Lecture Room is located off the entrance vestibule to the library, across from the Morris Library Commons.
The Class of 1941 Lecture Room’s extended hours:
- Sunday, May 18, 1 a.m. to Monday, May 19, 8 a.m.
- Monday, May 19, 1 a.m. to Tuesday, May 20, 8 a.m.
- Tuesday, May 20, 1 a.m. to Wednesday, May 21, 8 a.m.
During the hours when Morris Library is closed, students can access both the Morris Library Commons and the Class of 1941 Lecture Room with their UDID card through the door along the patio. The front doors to the library, which open to the main steps, will remain locked during these times. When the library is closed, students will only have access to the Morris Library Commons, the Class of 1941 Lecture Room and the adjoining vestibule.
