Blue Hens have many opportunities to get involved with Special Collections. Each year, the department hires students who welcome researchers coming in to use collections in the reading room. Our expert staff also supervise students contributing to projects to describe archival collections. Students have contributed to the View from the Vault blog post series and shared their research into collection objects like this notebook of poetry and this floral dictionary. Past graduate student employees have curated physical and digital exhibitions, like this one about Black bibliography drawing on items from the collections. In partnership with the Museum Studies program, the department offers 8-week mini-internships at select times during the year. Interns have curated small exhibitions and helped to plan public programs. To learn more about such opportunities, please contact: Hillary Kativa, Head of Special Collections.
