Morris Library Introduces New Turnstiles for Spring 2025

Big changes are coming to Morris Library! Starting in the Spring 2025 semester, students, faculty, and staff will use new and improved turnstiles to enter the library. These state-of-the-art upgrades are designed to enhance security and improve traffic flow, but there are a few key steps to keep in mind for a smooth entry.

To ensure the turnstiles recognize your University of Delaware ID card, you may need to remove it from any wallet or cardholder before scanning. Unlike before, you will now need to tap your ID on top of the turnstile instead of the front.

These improvements aim to provide a more efficient and secure experience for all library visitors. Be sure to familiarize yourself with the new process, and don’t hesitate to ask library staff for assistance if needed. Happy studying!
