Research using Special Collections Materials
Special Collections and Museums at the University of Delaware Library provides access to tools and resources to support research for users.
- Research guides are a great place to start exploring the print and manuscript holdings in Special Collections. They provide descriptions of collections related to particular topics.
- Additional information on individual collections listed in research guides may also be found in the Finding Aids database which provides access to finding aids and descriptive inventories for archival records and manuscript collections.
- DELCAT is the main gateway to the University of Delaware Library’s print and electronic collections. To find Special Collections resources cataloged in DELCAT Discovery, researchers can limit their searches to “Special Collections” only to find results.
Special Collections offers reference assistance and instructional resources for primary research. For assistance with these services, please contact Curtis Small, Public Services Librarian.
Research using Museums Materials
Beginning on August 1, 2024, all UD Library, Museums and Press digital collections currently housed on Artstor will seamlessly transition to JSTOR as the Artstor Digital Library website is officially retired.
To access digital collections currently hosted on Artstor, users can visit JSTOR directly, or users will be automatically redirected to JSTOR from the Arstor website. The changes from Artstor to JSTOR only impact the collections currently hosted by Artstor. Our digital collections hosted on UDSpace are unaffected by this transition.
For specific questions about Museums’ holdings, contact Jan Broske, Collections Manager.
