Information for Faculty

Library Teaching and Learning Services

Contact Lauren Wallis or your subject liaison to discuss library teaching support for your research or multimedia assignments. Librarians can provide interactive instruction or research consultations via Zoom, consult with you about integrating materials in Canvas, support the use of Open Educational Resources (OER), and discuss assignment design.

Associate in Arts Research Toolkit

The Associate in Arts Research Toolkit is available for instructors to use in any course with a research component. It is designed to help demystify the process of scholarly information production and address concrete skills such as searching in databases and DELCAT. The instructor resources page includes examples of flexible ways to integrate content from the toolkit in your course.

Support for Affordable Course Content

Your subject liaison can consult with you about options for affordable course content, such as multi-user ebooks, digital primary sources, streaming media, and open educational resources.

Permalinks

If you are providing links to articles from library databases in Canvas, creating a permalink will help students access these resources off campus. Use the OpenAthens link creator to generate links for course readings and other library materials.

Streaming Media

The Streaming Media databases and the Media Resources Guide can help you find video content to use in your courses.
