Digging into Research: Finding Books and Other Sources
Once you have some background information about your topic, you can begin to find in-depth sources such as books and videos. If you have questions while you work through this session, use Ask the Library to chat with a librarian.
On the Library homepage, use the DELCAT Discovery search box to search for your topic. DELCAT Discovery is our online library catalog.
After you get your initial list of results, use the filter column on the left to select different types of sources. Try these approaches:
- Select eBook. Browse your list of results and choose one that looks interesting. Use the View Now button to access the e-book.
- Deselect eBook and select eVideo (you might need to use the Show More link). Browse your results and use the View Now button to watch part of a video.
- Experiment with other filter options. How else can this tool help you narrow your search?
