About this Event
Are you interested in finding solutions to lessen the cost of course materials for students? Explore how open educational resources can provide relief.
During the workshop, faculty will learn how to locate open textbooks in their discipline and how to distinguish between free and openly licensed materials in order to customize materials for their classes and reduce the price of course materials.
You will also get a crash course on open textbook publishing models and open license styles, with time set aside for hands-on guided searching for materials.
Meg Grotti, assistant head of instructional services, and Grace Adeneye, Pauline A. Young resident librarian, will lead the workshop.
This workshop is geared toward newer UD faculty who are unfamiliar with open educational resources, as well as any faculty member with an interest in lowering the cost of course materials for students.
Registration is required as seating is limited.
