Library Users Asked to Participate in Brief Survey
Visitors to physical and digital spaces may receive short survey
Individuals using the UD Library, Museums and Press’ physical and digital spaces may be asked to participate in a brief survey about their use of the library during an upcoming visit. The survey, which typically takes no more than two minutes to complete, is necessary to meet federal reporting requirements for cost analysis for University funding and is consequently important for visitors to complete.
The in-person survey will be conducted once a month in Morris Library and twice a month in the Education Resource Center, Chemistry Library, Physics Library and Marine Studies Library. All users entering these locations during the designated timeframes will be asked to complete a short print survey and deposit it when they leave the library. The next in-person survey will be conducted on March 20 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Chemistry Library.
The online survey will be conducted once a month. Individuals accessing digital resources, e-journals or databases through the Library, Museums and Press will first be prompted to complete the survey. As soon as the survey is submitted, they will be routed to the online resource they selected. The next online survey will be conducted on March 22 from noon to 2 p.m.
In both the physical and digital spaces, the survey will be conducted during randomly selected two-hour time periods through March 2025. All responses are anonymous. An outside consulting firm will compile the anonymous responses for the University.
For questions about the survey, please contact Maisha Carey, deputy university librarian and director of organizational learning, at maisha@udel.edu.
