About this Event
With the rising cost of textbooks, students often make difficult choices about whether to purchase course materials. Using open educational resources (OER) can lessen a student’s spending and significantly increase their learning and success. Explore repositories of these freely available, often peer-reviewed course materials and discuss simple strategies for incorporating them into your classes.
During this interactive workshop, learn practical ways to reduce the cost of your course materials by using these customizable, affordable resources. You will gain practical experience locating and identifying relevant OER materials for your course while being introduced to Library support for course affordability.
Meg Grotti, assistant head of instructional services, will lead this workshop. It is co-sponsored by Faculty Commons.
This workshop is open to UD faculty. Faculty who are redesigning a course in the near future or who are interested in OER are encouraged to attend. Registration is required as seating is limited.
