About this Event
Join Victoria Sunnergren, lead guest curator for the exhibition Grounded Innovation: Pueblo Arts of Clay, and W. Eric Roberson, one of the exhibition's lenders, for a behind-the-scenes look at the exhibition.
During the talk, Sunnergren will discuss the exhibition and the process of curating it, and Roberson will speak about his collecting practice and background with the artists.
In Grounded Innovation: Pueblo Arts of Clay, visitors learn how contemporary Pueblo artists innovate to strengthen bonds with their ancestors and homelands, rather than breaking them. The pottery on view incorporates groundbreaking techniques, materials and designs while maintaining ties to land, culture, and history.
This in-person event is free and open to the public. Registration is required.
