Video Podcasting Equipment
Text and video by Mike Gates, Student Multimedia Design Center
Do you have a video podcast project due for one of your classes? Would you like to produce and publish a video interview? At the Student Multimedia Design Center many different multimedia kits are available for three-day loans that will allow you to produce anything from a small one-on-one interview to a large video production with several participants.
Presented in this video are three suggested packages of equipment that may be checked out based on your project needs: Basic, Intermediate and Advanced packages. The Basic package covers the bare minimum for what is needed to shoot a video podcast – a camera, tripod and microphone kit. The intermediate package features a higher-definition video camera, multiple microphone inputs and a sturdier tripod. The Advanced package includes everything in the Intermediate package plus a backdrop kit, microphone mixer and a two-light LED lighting kit.
Visit the Student Multimedia Design Center service desk on the Lower Level of Morris Library to check out any of the multimedia kits featured and more! Our staff are ready to help with any questions you have about our kits, video production or editing.
