Join the curators of the exhibition Friends and Enemies: Whistler and His Artistic, Literary and Social Circles to explore the role of collaboration in J. M. Whistler’s artistic—and social—practice.
During this virtual event, you’ll learn about Whistler’s lithographs, etchings and bookmaking, as well as the collaborative development of his public persona.
Members of Special Collections and Museums will lead the discussion, including Danielle Canter, graduate research assistant for Museums; Ashley Rye-Kopec, curator of education and outreach for Museums; Mark Samuels Lasner, senior research fellow in Special Collections; and Amanda Zehnder, chief curator for Museums.
