About this Event
Identifying new funding sources for your research can be a challenge. During this virtual workshop, learn strategies for how to identify and approach the appropriate funders to maximize your efforts.
Using specialized databases like Foundation Directory Online and Pivot, you will be able to locate and search for funding from government agencies, private foundations, corporations and public charities. You will also explore what criteria you should consider when identifying potential funders, and learn strategies for searching the databases and locating additional grant information online.
Members of UD’s Research Office and Corporate and Foundation Relations Team will also share procedures for applying for funding at the University.
Alison Wessel, social sciences librarian; Anshuman Razdan, associate vice president for research development; and Scott Mangieri, director of corporate and foundation relations will lead the workshop.
This workshop is open to UD students, faculty and staff. It is co-sponsored by the Research Office, the Corporate and Foundation Relations Team, and the Graduate College.
Registration is required. Once registered, you will receive an email with details on how to join the workshop via Zoom.
