First Pic: Kit Lenses that Set You Up for Success 

Before diving into our featured lenses, it’s important to note that both the Canon EOS T-series and Canon 90D cameras come equipped with standard kit lenses. The EOS T-series includes an 18-55mm lens, suitable for a variety of general photography needs. The Canon 90D, on the other hand, comes with an 18-135mm lens, specifically chosen for its versatility and to complement the DJI Ronin gimbal for smooth video capture. While these kit lenses offer great functionality for most projects, our additional lenses provide more specialized options to elevate your creative work. 

 

Perfect for Portraits and Close-ups |Canon EF-S 60mm f/2.8 Macro USM Lens 

If you’re looking to get sharp, detailed close-ups, the Canon EF-S 60mm f/2.8 Macro USM is a handy, close-up lens for Canon DSLRs, perfect for capturing tiny details in life-size. It’s perfect for capturing intricate details in flowers, textures, or small objects, and it’s also excellent for portrait photography. With a bright f/2.8 aperture, this lens handles low light well and creates a nice, blurred background to make your subject stand out. It focuses quickly and quietly, with a smooth manual adjustment if needed. Perfect for Detailed Close-ups |Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro Lens

This lens also has a bright f/2.8 aperture, giving you the same great ability to work in lower light and create a beautifully soft background blur. 

 

The All-Purpose Hero |Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS II USM 

The Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS II USM is a versatile, all-around zoom lens perfect for a range of photography, from wide-angle landscapes to close-up portraits. With its solid focal range of 24-105mm, this lens covers a lot of ground, making it ideal for travel, events, and general-purpose shooting. Its constant f/4 aperture offers consistent performance across the zoom range, while the built-in Image Stabilization (IS) helps keep shots sharp in lower light or at slower shutter speeds.

Important Note: The SMDC does not circulate the attachment needed for zoom control with this lens. So, when using the gimbal, please note that you won’t be able to adjust the zoom level mid-shot.

Do you shoot with a Nikon Z-series camera? With our Canon EF to Nikon Z DSLR adapter, you can explore a broader range of Canon EF lenses available for loan, giving you extra creative flexibility. Experimenting with different Canon lenses can open new focal lengths and perspectives going beyond the typical Nikon Z-series options. While this adapter is a fantastic tool for expanding your choices, keep a few things in mind: using an adapter can sometimes affect autofocus performance, image quality, and aperture control depending on the lens and camera pairing.
