Participants will learn how to identify and evaluate elements and strategies for digital storytelling before creating their own digital story in video format. Through two workshops, they will learn about the process of planning a digital storytelling project, best practices for creating and gathering materials, and how to compile the digital story using video editing software to tell a complete and compelling story. Participants will then apply what they learned in the workshops as they create their own digital story via a 3-5 minute video.
Requirements
- Attend Digital Storytelling with Video: Getting Started workshop
- Attend Digital Storytelling with Video: Intro to Adobe Premiere Pro workshop
- Complete the self-paced canvas quiz
- Complete a storyboard and final video project
Total Time commitment
Approximately 12 hours total
- Approximately 3 hours of in-person instruction
- Approximately 8 -10 hours of self-paced work and project creation

- Planning a digital storytelling video project by identifying the purpose, audience and content needs, writing a script, and creating a storyboard.
